"Hi, this is Matt Whiteside, former Arkansas St. Indian (1986-90) and
Major League pitcher. Since my retirement from playing, I have been
involved in providing opportunities to young ballplayers by directing a
team program in St. Louis called the St. Louis Gamers.
Recently we were asked by USA Baseball to oversee the identification of
players in the Midwest Region to compete for spots on USA Baseball’s
National Teams. We are looking for players in the 13 and under, 15 and
under, and 17 and under age groups. To accomplish this, we are hosting
SubRegionals in St Louis, which will feed players to the Midwest
Regional, which will also be held in St Louis.
